BADEN, ON – The Township of Wilmot is transitioning its Council meetings to a hybrid format to accommodate both in-person attendees and remote meeting participants. The first hybrid Regular Council meeting will be held on December 5 at 7:00 p.m.
The hybrid meeting format will allow members of Council, staff, delegates, and the public to participate in Council meetings from within the Council Chambers at the Township Administration Complex, or virtually from a remote location. While in-person participation is optimal, the hybrid setting will provide a safe environment to conduct meetings effectively, while ensuring fair and equitable representation. The priority throughout this transition has been to maintain the integrity of meetings for all participants and viewers.
The Township IT Services Team has made enhancements to audio and visual meeting equipment within Council Chambers, and software applications to ensure all participants have a seamless meeting experience.
Members of the public can continue to access a live stream of Council meetings from wherever they are by subscribing to our YouTube Channel.
More information regarding public participation at hybrid Council meetings can be found at wilmot.ca/Delegations.
