Castle Kilbride National Historic Site invites you to become a volunteer. The museum offers programming to serve both the local community and cultural tourism. We offer a range of educational programming, special events, workshops, and behind the scenes activities.
Wilmot's Youth Action Council (YAC) is a group of local youth volunteers, ages 14 to 19, who volunteer in a variety of capacities within the community. The YAC offers a chance for other youth to be involved in their community while learning and develop their leadership skills. This is also a wonderful opportunity for youth to provide input into youth programs.
Volunteers play an important role with ensuring the success of Township of Wilmot day camps. Volunteers support camp leaders with playing games, helping with crafts, sports, and swimming activities during camp. They are given the opportunity to create an activity plan and lead an activity during the week with the assistance of the Camp leaders. Learn more about becoming a summer camp volunteer.
The Community Services department is accepting applications for Athletic Engagement Facilitators that will assist with drop-in recreation programs for shuffleboard, pickleball, and badminton at various community centres in the Township. If interested, please contact the Supervisor of Recreation Programming.

Swim Lesson Sessions |
There are typically 8 to 9 swim lessons in a session. As an Aquatic Centre Volunteer, you must be available for the entire swim lesson session that you are assisting with. This is to ensure consistency with program participants, creating a better bond with them and playing a key role in their success. Of course, we understand that illnesses or last-minute conflicts may occur, so please ensure you call the contact the facility in advance. |
Training |
All Township of Wilmot, Aquatic Division volunteers will be required to attend provided yearly volunteer orientation training. Once you’ve been accepted as a volunteer, training information will be provided to you. |
