Baden Trunk Sanitary Sewer |

Current Phase: Construction Project Details: The Baden Sanitary Sewer construction will commence early October 2024.
This will involve the installation of the Sanitary Trunk Sewer from the Foundry Street Pumping Station to the South of the CNR Right-of-Way by Charlotta Street and the culvert replacement along Gingerich Road. The sewer will be located within Foundry Street, Gingerich Road, as well as on the property owned by the estate of the late Enid and Elizabeth Schmidt (which has been acquired by Township for purposes of the Sanitary Trunk Sewer).
The construction of the Baden Sanitary Trunk Sewer provides the needed sanitary servicing infrastructure for the development lands within Baden.
The Construction for this project will be completed in three stages:
It is anticipated that Stage 1 and Stage 2 will be completed in fall/winter of 2024, with Stage 3 continuing through the winter, if required and completed into winter 2025. If necessary, depending on permits, scheduling and weather conditions the in-water works to be completed in 2024 may proceed to 2025 outside of the window of March 15th to July 15th. In-water restrictions do not apply from July 16th to March 14th. All in-water works shall be completed in this time frame.
Gingerich Road will remain open during the construction and will be reduced to one lane of traffic to accommodate businesses West of Gingerich Road.
Hand delivered notices regarding the proposed construction will be forwarded to residents and business owners located within the project area as well as those who will be directly impacted by the construction.

Current Phase: Construction Project Notes/Details: Brewery Street and Snyder’s Road East will be undergoing construction for sanitary repairs and new watermain section installation. This project will also include surface works for concrete curbs, concrete sidewalks, separated cycling lanes, road base and asphalt riding surface. The duration of the construction is estimated from the week of October 28th until December 14th.

Project Notes/Details: Engineering works for the reconstruction of Victoria Street (Hwy #7&8 to Boullee Street) and Boullee Street (Hamilton Road to Victoria Street) in New Hamburg has been delayed and will commence in Spring of 2025. Proposed improvements include reconstruction to an urban cross-section complete with new granular road base, asphalt surface, concrete curb and gutter, distribution and transmission watermain, storm sewer, sanitary sewer replacement and proposed sidewalk installation. These specific funds are associated with the coordination and installation of the Region’s transmission watermain, and coordination with the potential development on Boullee Street. |
