Petersburg Post Office update

UPDATE 

The Petersburg Post Office re-opened at 1672 Snyder’s Road E., Petersburg, on September 23, 2024.

Effective Friday, June 28, 2024, at noon, the Petersburg Post Office will be closed temporarily until Canada Post can confirm a new location and postmaster.

Canada Post will be installing temporary community mailboxes in Petersburg in the coming days. They will deliver keys to residents once the sites are installed and labelled for delivery.

Until residents receive their new community mailbox keys, people who require their mail must pick it up in Wellesley as directed in the letter they received from Canada Post earlier this week. You can fill out a Letter of Authorization form to have someone pick up mail on your behalf: Letter of Authorization | Canada Post (canadapost-postescanada.ca).

The Wellesley Post Office is located at 1166 Queens Bush Rd., Wellesley, Ontario.

Hours of operation at the Wellesley location are:

Monday to Friday        9 to 11 a.m.; Noon to 5 p.m.

Saturday                       9 a.m. to noon

Please bring government-issued identification to claim mail and carded items.

Canada Post is working on a long-term solution for the postal needs of the Petersburg community and will keep the Petersburg community updated.
