Baden, ON - While fire can happen anywhere, at anytime, it most often strikes when life gets busy, and we get distracted. It’s easy to get distracted this time of year and all it takes is for a pot to be left on the stove, or a candle left burning unattended, and a family’s holiday celebrations can turn to tragedy.
The Wilmot Fire Department is announcing the 12 Days of Holiday Fire Safety for the season. Beginning Monday, December 12, every day for 12 days, we'll share information and tips through our Facebook and Twitter platforms, using the hashtags #HolidayFireSafety and #WilmotFire, to help ensure a safe holiday season. The community is also encouraged to learn more about important fire safety tips this season at wilmot.ca/FireSafetyTips.
As the weather gets colder and families gather, we would also like to remind the community to maintain working smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms in your home by doing the following:
From our house to yours, the Wilmot Fire Department wishes you all a safe and happy holiday season!
