Under the direction of the Fire Chief, the Wilmot Township Fire Department currently provides fire protection and emergency medical services from fire stations located in the communities of Baden, New Dundee and New Hamburg.
The Fire Chief is responsible for the administration of the three fire stations, issuance of burn permits, the Fire Prevention and Protection Act (1997), the Emergency Plans Act (2002) and providing for fire prevention, public education, suppression services and emergency preparedness.
The Department currently consists of one full-time Fire Chief, one full-time administrative assistant, two full-time Fire Prevention Officers/Public Educators, three part-time Training Officers, and 80 volunteer firefighters in three fire stations: a District Chief, an Assistant District Chief, three Captains, four Acting Captains and minimum of 16 firefighters per station.
The Fire Department administration offices are located at the Parks and Fire Administration Centre, 30 Neville St, New Hamburg.
