In Ontario, Municipal Clerks perform marriage ceremonies. The Director of Information and Legislative Services/Municipal Clerk for the Township of Wilmot, or their delegates, can perform ceremonies during or after office hours. We would be happy to speak to you about our ceremonies and how we can contribute to your special day.
During office hours, ceremonies can be performed in Council Chambers or the Livingston Park Gazebo Monday to Friday. During non-business hours the ceremony can be at a location of your choosing. Township community centres and outdoor facilities are available for rent as are the grounds of the National Historic Site, Castle Kilbride. Fees for both types of services are part of the Township's Fees and Charges By-law.
Before you can get married you need to obtain a Marriage Licence. The Township's Information and Legislative Services Department can help you with that too.
