One sign of a healthy community is an attractive and well maintained appearance.The Adopt-a-Road program allows various groups, service clubs, families, and any volunteers the opportunity to assist the Township in keeping the environment clean and maintaining the scenic roadway systems in rural Wilmot.
The Adopt-a-Road program is used by many municipalities and communities in North America. The program originated in Texas and quickly spread to Ontario which, was the first province to adopt the program in Canada. The program was adopted by the Township in 1994.
When getting a team of volunteers together to apply for an Adopt-a-Road program keep in mind some of the follow safety concerns:
