The Township is a pledging partner within Sustainable Waterloo Region's Flagship program the Regional Sustainability Initiative. Membership enables organizations to make greenhouse gas (GHG), waste and water reduction commitments; collaborate with area leaders in environmental sustainability; and learn how to implement cost-effective reduction projects for carbon, water and waste. Partners for Climate Protection Program |

In 2019, along with area municipalities within the Region of Waterloo, the Township joined FCM’s Partners for Climate Protection Program. This program offers a wide range of resources and measures to assist in advancing the Township reduce it’s Carbon Footprint. This membership is also in conjunction with ClimateActionWR’s program to achieve an 80% GHG Reduction by 2050 across the Region of Waterloo. |
REEP Green Solutions |
| REEP Green Solutions is an environmental charity that helps people in Waterloo Region and across Southwestern Ontario live sustainably. Their current focus is on addressing climate change through Residential Energy Efficiency and storm water management. Many of their programs and services are delivered using a social enterprise model. |
