Welcome to the Wilmot Recreation Complex (WRC), a state of the art, 163,000 square foot multi-use recreational facility; the recreational hub of Wilmot Township. The WRC was constructed on a 65 acre site with the recreational needs and interests of residents in mind. The site offers a number of recreational facilities including: two NHL sized arenas, an Aquatics Centre, the Active Living Centre, the Optimist Youth Centre, meeting rooms, an Indoor Track, three full size soccer fields and two mini fields, an accessible playground, and a splash pad. The WRC is home to a number of volunteer run sports organizations including the New Hamburg Skating Club, New Hamburg Hockey Association, Wilmot Girls Hockey Association, New Hamburg Firebirds Jr. C Hockey Club, Wilmot Aquatic Aces, and the Wilmot District Soccer Club.
In addition to the sports programs offered by the sports user groups, the Township also offers a variety programs and activities for residents to participate in including public skating and swimming opportunities.
