Notice regarding door to door testing |
Please be advised that the Utility department does not conduct door-to-door water quality testing. Some private enterprises have been noted to approach residents advising them that their municipal water is unsafe and of poor quality, in an effort to sell home water cleaning systems. The Township assures the public that the municipal water system is safe to drink. In Ontario, only fully accredited laboratories licensed to perform drinking water quality testing - not home based testers - are allowed to perform health based tests on drinking water. The strict standards for these labs make the province's municipal drinking water among the best in the world. |
