Financial statements from candidates and registered third party advertisers in the 2022 municipal election are available on this page, under section 88(9.1) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
The filed Financial Statements on this webpage were prepared manually by candidates. Municipal staff have not verified or amended the information contained in the statements.
Making Financial Statements available on our website allows members of the public to view scanned copies of filed statements in PDF format. Because Financial Statements are prepared in hard copy by candidates and third-party advertisers and cannot be modified by staff, the scanned documents attached below may not be fully accessible for use with assistive technology.
If you’re looking for the documents in another format, please contact Legislative Services.
All candidates and registered third-party advertisers must file their Financial Statement and Auditor’s Reports (if required) on or before March 31, 2023, at 2 p.m.
For candidates who do not file their Financial Statement by the filing deadline, they can file during the 30-day grace period if they pay a $500 late filing fee to the municipality. The grace period ends on May 1, 2023, at 2 pm. The Municipal Elections Act requires the Municipal Clerk to prepare a report indicating which candidates complied with the filing requirements. The report will be available after the end of the grace period.
The deadline to file Supplementary Financial Statements is on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 2 pm. For candidates who do not file their supplementary statement during the filing deadline, they can file during the 30-day grace period if they pay a $500 late filing fee to the municipality. This grace period ends on October 30, 2023, at 2 pm.
If you have reasonable grounds to believe that a candidate or third-party advertiser has violated the campaign finance rules, please request a compliance audit by following the steps outlined below.
