The Nomination Period is open from May 2, 2022, to August 19, 2022. You or your agent may file your nomination paper with the Clerk or Deputy Clerk during regular offices hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. On August 19, 2022, nominations shall only be accepted between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:00 pm in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act.
Candidates are required to complete, but not sign the Nomination Paper – Form 1, the Declaration of Qualifications and completed Endorsements of Nomination - Form 2 and notify the Clerk. The Clerk or Deputy Clerk will then set up an appointment for filing and signing the Nomination Paper and signing and filing all other required documents. Plan on this meeting taking approximately 20-30 minutes.
