Regular Meetings of Council are open to the public but not all Regular Meetings are called Public Meetings. For a municipality the term Public Meeting refers to a meeting or portion of a meeting where input is sought directly from the public on a specific matter.
In the Township of Wilmot our most common form of Public Meeting is for applications under the Planning Act or for Municipal Drain matters. Public Meetings may also be held for certain by-law amendments, Exotic Pet Exemption Applications, Kennel Applications, Development Charges By-law Amendments and for other matters where public consultation is needed.
Notices for Public Meetings are generally circulated to the residents directly affected and are posted on the Township Website under Public Notices.
The Township has issued this Public Notice with regards to the intended disposition of property located at 439 Waterloo Street.
