The Township of Wilmot continues to work towards creating a barrier free and inclusive election. Providing online and telephone voting options will allow all voters to cast their ballot using their preferred device. For voters who prefer a traditional paper ballot, advance in-person voting is available.
Do you require other accommodations to help you vote independently? Please let us know as far in advance as possible so we can do what we can to ensure that happens. If your accommodations cannot be met due to timing or budgetary constraints, please be aware that we will make note of the request for future elections to try and make it happen.
All Election Workers are trained to assist voters. They are sworn to uphold the secrecy of your vote and to assist you to ensure your ballot in marked or casting as you intended. We will assist you in any way we can. You may also have a person assist you in marking or casting your ballot following a short affidavit swearing or affirming they will mark or cast your ballot as you intend and that they uphold the secrecy of your vote.
Wilmot Township is committed to fostering a more inclusive community by working to ensure persons with disabilities can fully participate in the community. As part of this commitment, the Township has created an Election Accessibility Plan to ensure that the 2022 Municipal Election accommodates, encourages, and inspires confident participation of persons with disabilities.
