What is a special event?
A special event is any organized event that takes place on or within a municipal property.
Approval from the Township of Wilmot is required to hold an event on municipal property. It is the responsibility of the organization/applicant to obtain approval for their event.
How do I apply for a permit?
A Township Special Event Permit is required by any person or organization wishing to hold an event on a municipal road or property. You must submit your completed permit application 120 days in advance to circulate to all departments for comment or approval.

Special events include:
Funerals, wedding processions, motor vehicle rallies and picketing or demonstrations are exempt from this policy.
If an event takes place on a Regional property, a Region of Waterloo Special Event Permit is required.
