The keeping of backyard laying hens may only occur if licensed by the Township of Wilmot. Before you keep hens in your backyard, you must:

Flag Raising Policy and Application |
Flag Raising Policy and CriteriaThe Flag Policy applies to the display, maintenance and disposal of Flags flown at Township Facilities. A community flag raising is limited and specific to the Community Flagpole located at the Administration Complex. The Community Flagpoles may be used to fly flags significant to the residents of the Township of Wilmot:

Requestors are responsible for:
Application ProcessAll organizations and/or persons submitting a request for a flag raising must complete the Online Flag Raising Application. This Application will be retained by the Office of the Clerk and will be reviewed as part of the approval process. Approval ProcessAll flag raising requests will be reviewed by Municipal Staff to determine if they meet the criteria listed above. The Clerk will notify requestors if their request does not meet the Community Flag Raising Criteria. Requests that meet the Community Flag Raising Criteria will be forwarded to the Mayor for approval. The Mayor will review and approve flag raising requests. When a flag raising request is approved by the Mayor, Municipal Staff will notify applicants of the approved request and copy all Members of Council and the Clerk.
