Pool Birthday Parties
Who doesn’t want a pool party for their birthday!!! At the Wilmot Aquatic Centre, we can make you or your child's birthday wish come true. We offer competitive rates for the rental of the swimming pools, as well as multi-purpose rooms some with kitchenettes which make them ideal for the meal, serving cake, playing games, etc. Tables and chairs are included with all rentals. The average birthday party rental includes 1 hour in either the Leisure pool, Lap pool or both pools, followed by 1 or 2 hours in a room.
Booking Times
Available times are based on regular non-programmed pool times.
Leisure Pool - Warm Pool
Saturday 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Lap Pool
Sunday: 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Both Pools
Sunday 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Rental availability given at the time of inquiry is what is currently available. Please note that we do not hold rental times during the inquiry stage. We require all the required information to begin your rental booking. Please book your rental early as we are required to give staff members notice for changes in their schedule.
Pool Fees (September 2024 to August 2025) *Rates subject to change without notice.
The following rates are per hour plus tax and insurance. This rate is for up to 50 people. There will be an additional lifeguard fee for every additional 25 people. Please note, anyone on deck or in the pool must be included in your rental numbers.
Leisure pool (Capacity 100 people)- $115.79 per hour plus tax
Lap pool (Capacity: 250 people) - $190.84 per hour plus tax
Both the Lap and Leisure pool (Capacity: 300 people) - $275.78 per hour plus tax
Additional lifeguard $33.00 per hour plus tax for groups of more than 50 people.
Tot slide in the Leisure pool for groups of 25 or more - $33.00 per hour plus tax
Room Fees
Room rentals are $31.19 per hour plus tax
Room Information
Room set up and take down are to be done during the rented room time. Please note that early access to rooms is not permitted. Many renters book 2 hours to accommodate this. If your room comes equipped with a refrigerator it may be used during your rental times. Please ensure that you are prepared with a cooler for your food as we are not able to put items in a refrigerator prior to your rental times. This is for insurance and liability reasons.
Please note that candles are not permitted in the complex.
Insurance
Renters are required to have insurance.
We have insurance at the current rate of $4.32 per hour/ per location.
Pool Admission Policy
Please note that the pool admission policy is in effect for rentals.
ADMISSION POLICY FOR RECREATIONAL SWIMS
WAC staff members are experts trained in aquatic emergencies. They are required to supervise all patrons in the pool and cannot act in a childcare capacity. Parental supervision of all children under 10 years of age is strongly recommended during all pool visits.
Children aged 6 and under and children 7 – 10 years who are weak or non- swimmers
Must be accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian 13 years of age or older who is responsible for their direct supervision. A Maximum of 2 children for each parent/ guardian
Children wearing personal flotation devices (water wings, lifejackets etc) must be supervised at all times
Children aged 7 to 10 years of age who are strong swimmers
May be admitted into the pool without direct supervision provided they are able to demonstrate the ability to pass the Aquatic Swim test. This test consists of a 20-meter swim on the front putting the face into the water at least once, 15 second tread and a 20-meter swim on the front or back. This must be completed comfortably by the swimmer without stopping or putting their feet on the bottom.
Parents/ Guardians must remain in the facility until the swim test is completed successfully. If the child is unable to complete the swim test, the Parent/ Guardian will be required to participate in the water with the child.
Direct supervision is defined as being in the water within arm’s reach and able to render immediate assistance.
Persons who have known seizure disorders or other serious medical disorders are at greater risk while swimming. Those individuals should be accompanied and supervised by another individual knowledgeable about their condition.
